The Synthetic Human Aptitude Test (S.H.A.T.)

I am a huge Ridley Scott fan, love the Alien universe and thus am obviously eating up everything that they are releasing to promote the upcoming movie Prometheus. When I saw the “Happy Birthday David” teaser, besides quivering with anticipation, I latched onto a four second segment where David is playing a game (skip to 1:37 if you don’t want to watch it again…):

I constantly challenge myself with idiotic thoughts like “I could do that in X hours…”
So when Ludum Dare happened to take place a few weeks ago, I decided to at least join my fellow developers in making a polished, finished product even if I didn’t officially enter the competition or adhere to the thematic requirements of the challenge. I made the Synthetic Human Aptitude Test, as seen in the “Happy Birthday David” teaser trailer for Prometheus. Or as I like to call it (and yell when I screw up as it gets harder), “SHAT”!
